Kevin Browne, AIA

Kevin’s very first buildings were made out of Legos. Inspired by his grandfather who knew how to draft, Kevin took a technical drafting course in high school where he had to design his own home. From there, his lifelong appreciation for architecture blossomed. After earning a Bachelor’s in Architecture from Vermont’s Norwich University, he spent the next twenty years of his career in residential architecture at firms in Pennsylvania, Midcoast Maine, and Southern Maine. In 2008, he founded KBA.

Kevin deeply values the firm’s versatility and range of design aesthetics as well as working with clients, many of whom become lifelong friends.

Kevin is a Maine licensed architect, a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), Northeast Sustainable and Energy Association (NESEA), and the National Council of Registration Boards (NCARB). He is also a member of the Portland Society for Architecture.

Kevin finds any reason to get outside and enjoys traveling with his wife and family. They particularly like to spend weekends at Sugarloaf Mountain, where they mountain bike, hike, swim, and ski (and work remotely) throughout the year, their happy place.
