Founded in 1209, the University comprises 31 autonomous Colleges, which accommodate more than 18,700 students including both undergraduates and post-graduates. The six Schools of the University encompass 150 departments, faculties and institutions. In addition to the continuing activities in each of the Schools, strategic research initiatives bring together multidisciplinary teams to build on current research strengths.
