While Bruce Willis’ family has done a commendable job at assuring the public of his well-being, a source recently revealed that the actor’s battle with Frontotemporal Dementia is getting worse. He has had to retire from acting despite building a successful show business career, as his communication skills have deteriorated.

According to an insider, Bruce is not the same anymore, and his family, including ex-wife Demi Moore and their kids Rumer, Tallulah, and Scout, are having to experience the painful changes firsthand. There is also a terrifying uncertainty about how much time he has left.

Since there is no known cure for Frontotemporal Dementia, Bruce’s family can only manage him for as long as possible. He reportedly enjoys a typical day involving waking up to a beautiful breakfast with loved ones, being made as comfortable as can be, and frequent friendly visits.

Among these visits include some from Demi, who reveals that she sees him on a weekly basis whenever she is in Los Angeles. Months ago, Bruce had a hard time remembering Demi, and she was heartbroken after realizing this. She shared her takeaway, which is accepting the new Bruce rather than being angry about the changes.

Bruce’s wife, Emma Hemming Willis, has been his primary caregiver since his condition started. They have two little daughters, Evelyn and Mabel, who are very aware of their father’s condition. Emma says she is international about not hiding them from reality so they can get used to it.

Emma Hemming’s stepdaughters have also been at the house often, creating memories with Bruce as much as they can. They have joined Emma Henming in spreading awareness about Frontotemporal Dementia on social media ever since Bruce’s diagnosis went public. While there is a morbid side to the state of the Willis household, Bruce’s health has brought the family closer in the past two years.
