唐代中期以前的螭吻大多为上翘的尾部形态，从这一时期螭吻的外形来看，可以将其划分为鸱尾期。鸱尾期的螭吻，造型十分简洁，非常古朴、大气。唐代鸱尾的典型特征就是在鸱尾的外围会有一圈细长的珠状纹饰，鸱尾造型雄伟。另外，已经开始出现“拒鹊子”，所谓“拒鹊子”就是为了防止鸟鹊等动物在屋顶的鸱尾上筑巢，而在鸱尾上翘的尾部上沿插上—些铁制的刺针，来达到驱赶鸟昔西息、筑巢的目的。 [3] (责任编辑：) |
