While with Neilan, she wrote “Freckles,” “Dinty,” “The Lotus Eater” and “Bob Hampton of Placer” for the stage. She later joined the the ranks of female directors. Fairfax is most widely for writing the 1925 classic film, “The Lost World.” Married to actor Tully Marshall, she was sometimes credited as ‘Mrs. Tully Marshall.’ She lies next to her husband in an umarked grave.
