The Documents area allows you to store, organise, and view files and photos, providing a central location for managing your important content.

Account and settings

Access the account and settings menu to manage your profile, update login and security settings, adjust app preferences, and more. Toggle between light and dark mode, view additional information, or log in and out as needed.

Contacting Emergency Services

The Call 000 button is easily accessible from all primary tabs of the app, ensuring quick access in emergencies. If location services are enabled, your approximate location will be automatically displayed, ready to share with the call operator.

Select the ‘Call 000’ button from anywhere in the app.

If location services are enabled, your approximate location will display to assist communication with the operator. Tap ‘Call Triple Zero (000)’ to make the call.

Watch zones and notifications

Creating a watch zone
Set up a watch zone to monitor specific areas for warnings and alerts. Search for a location and set a radius, or select a suburb to define your watch zone and customise settings to receive notifications.

Navigate to the Watch Zones tab in My hub and select ‘Add a watch zone’.

Read and accept the Terms of Use.

Use the search bar to find a suburb and set its boundary as your watch zone.

Alternatively, search for an address and define a custom radius to create your watch zone. Tap ‘Save location’.

Name your watch zone and customise the types of warnings and alerts you want to receive notifications for.

Save your watch zone to add it to the list, where a summary of its details will be displayed.

If a warning or alert is within your watch zone, you will receive a push notification on your device. Tap it to view the details in the app.

Disabling a watch zone
Disabling a watch zone stops all notifications for that zone while keeping its settings saved for future use.

Use the toggle to disable notifications for the watch zone while retaining its settings.

Confirm to proceed with disabling the watch zone.

A ‘Watch zone disabled’ notification will appear, the toggle will switch to the off position, and notifications for this watch zone will stop.

Deleting a watch zone
Delete a watch zone to permanently remove it from your list. This action cannot be undone, and you will no longer receive notifications for the deleted zone.

Select the watch zone you wish to delete.

Open the watch zone options menu, select ‘Delete,’ and confirm you wish to delete the watch zone.

The watch zone will be permanently deleted, will no longer appear in the list, and you will stop receiving notifications for it.

Documents

Adding a document
Keep important documents and photos, like bushfire plans, organised and easily accessible by storing them in the Documents section.

Navigate to the Documents tab in My hub and select ‘Add a document’.

Select a file from your device, choose a photo from your library, or take a photo with your camera.

Preview the document, name it, select a suitable tag to help organise it, and save.

Your document will be saved to the documents list. Tap it to open and view.

The document will be displayed. Tap the back button to return to the documents list.

Deleting a document
Delete documents or photos you no longer need. Once deleted, they will be permanently removed from the Documents section.

Select the document you wish to delete.

Open the document options menu and select ‘Delete’.

Confirm you wish to delete the document. The document will be permanently deleted and will no longer appear in the list.

My Profile

Editing my profile
View your account details, including the account creation date, and update your name if needed.

Access the app settings menu and tap ‘My Profile’.

Tap ‘Edit name’.

Enter your new name and save your changes. The update will reflect on your profile page and in the app settings menu.

Deleting your account
Deleting your account will permanently remove all profile information, watch zones and documents linked to it. After deletion, you can continue using the app as a Guest user.

Select ‘Delete account’.

Type ‘delete’ to confirm you wish to delete your account. This cannot be undone.

Your Emergency WA account has been successfully deleted. Tap ‘Continue’ to remain in the app as a Guest user.
