How To Apply for a UWI Student ID Card Posted Thursday, August 29, 2024 At the St. Augustine Campus, all students are required to wear their UWI student ID card while on the campus or any UWI sites. This allows Campus Security to easily identify students as a valid member of the Campus community and grants them access to the Campus and its many facilities. Read on for more information on how to apply for and collect a UWI student ID card.New Students To apply for the ID Card students must have Financial Clearance from the Bursary and at least one form of identification – a national ID card, passport, driver’s license, or birth certificate. Students will also be required to submit a photo that will be used on the card. Click here for the criteria on acceptable photos. The application process is as follows: - Complete online course registration. After registering an email with instructions and login credentials to access the UWI ID Card Photo Upload Application will be sent to students' personal emails - Log in to the UWI ID Card Photo Upload application with the assigned credentials, and upload the photo. The student's photo will then be reviewed and validated to determine if it has been approved to be printed. Rejected photos will result in having to submit a new one. - After obtaining Financial Clearance and uploading the photo, students are encouraged to schedule an appointment to collect their ID card using the online booking form which can be accessed by clicking here. The ID Card can then be collected on the scheduled date and time at the ID Card Office, which is located on the Ground Floor, Lloyd Braithwaite Student Administration Building. Continuing Students - The UWI Student ID Card is automatically revalidated upon receiving financial clearance. - If the student's UWI ID Card has expired, please email the ID Card Office at idcard.help@sta.uwi.edu for guidance on receiving a replacement. ID Card Distribution will continue at the ID Card Office, located on the Ground Floor, Lloyd Braithwaite Student Administration Building, as follows: - Until Friday, October 4, 2024, Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.daily -After Friday, October 4, Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily Persons with queries about the distribution of student ID cards may contact the ID Card Office at: idcard.help@sta.uwi.edu.
